This issue has been mitigated and we are continuing to monitor the issue to ensure stability. The root cause was the deployment of an incorrect campaign data file, which led to false positive campaign detection. We have since reverted to the right data file and the outbound email flow has returned to a normal state. We also released a new rule that corrected the wrong campaign verdict for all impacted customers during the incident.
The indexing feature is essentially a catalogue that is built from all of the information you receive in your email. Your searches refer to this catalogue, so that you don't have to check every single folder and email for a term. Existing Hotmail accounts have been permitted to keep their email addresses as well. You can still create a new email address with @hotmail.com as the domain name. This option could be useful if you constantly have to wait for Outlook to rebuild its data file when you restart. To edit a shared calendar, go online to your own Outlook.com calendar, open Calendar for Windows 10, or use a mobile device.

If you can open the original Outlook Data File, you might be able to recover additional items. The Inbox Repair tool creates a backup file with the same name as the original, but with a .bak extension, and saves it in the same folder. Microsoft has released a Windows Hotfix file to remove the contacts folder synced by the Teams app. To help you get rid of these duplicates, we have released a fix which will automatically clean up your contact list. This fix will clean up duplicate contacts for end users starting August 9, 2023. Rollout of the fix to all users will take few weeks, so, some users may see the fix applied by the end of September. Some Safari users are unable to add email addresses in the To section, or cannot point the cursor in the To field.
If that doesn’t work, try using the Inbox Repair Tool or creating a new profile. And if nothing else helps, there are great tools out there that can recover everything for you. Take it one step at a time, and you’ll have Outlook working again soon.
If you're using Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016, uninstall and re-install iCloud to resolve this issue. This occurs because custom form script is now disabled by default.
